We left Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne on Tuesday 6th. One half-formed plan we'd developed was to visit an area north of Limoges where Brendan and Marsha's friends, Pete and Sue, had a house at a place called Auzillac. When I got up in the morning though I broke the shower /wc room door. Well, it broke when I tried to close it but it had probably been waiting to do it for some time. It's a sliding door and one of the two fittings that keeps it in the groove at the top had come away and wasn't even visible. This stumped us for a bit and we had to re-think. The broken fixtures made the shower unusable and travelling with a half falling off door could cause problems. We decided we needed to stay on proper campsites and try to get it fixed. We consulted the Hymer manual and found there was a Service Centre in the northern outskirts of Tours at a place called Parçay Meslay.
In the ACSI book* we found a campsite at Francueil, just the other side of the river Cher from Chenonceau. We knew we could get to the service centre from here. We arrived around 5 p.m. and ate at the site's restaurant. The site was called Le Moulin Fort and we'd visited it on foot two years before when we'd been staying in Chenonceau at L'Ecluse campsite, seen opposite in the photo.
The impression gained from our earlier reccy was confirmed. This was a real British ex-pat community. I don't think we heard one word of French in the time we were there,

Next day we set off for Azur 37, the Hymer service centre. Mistakes on our part meant we ended up in the centre of Tours and Garmin was useless at helping us out. Fortunately, the many times John has navigated the northern area of Tours to get to Vouvray meant he recognised the road we needed when we came across it.
So we found Azur 37 and hoped they could help us. They could and they did! Within half and hour they had found the horrendously expensive little bit we needed and had also found someone to fit it. They charged us about €56 but only about 15 of that was labour. We didn't mind what it cost we were so pleased to get it done.
Azur 37 also sold motorhomes. We couldn't resist having a look around them once we were sorted.
