Now yesterday, Tuesday, was rather a dull day and we settled to visiting the Carrefour next to the site for several hours of retail pleasure. In the afternoon we spent several more hours working out how to extend the awning, and how to attach the tie-down ratchet thingies. Most of the awning gear needed oiling as it prolly hadn't been used before and was seized. The tie-down devices made in Macclesfield suffered from instructions without punctuation, which often rendered them incomprehensible. Anyhow it was set-up and it was dismantled, with similar difficulty (this evening).
The sanitary block at Camping Couleurs du Monde is in a graffiti style, which is rather well air-brushed, but one wonders how soon it will look old hat.
Today has been fine and sunny so we went to Mr. Bricolage (also next door) to purchase 4 stick-on hooks. These are needed in what I call the shower. I put it that way because there are also a wash basin and Thetford cassette wc in the same area.
We walked into Montrichard for déjeuner at our favourite restaurant and had a splendid feast. Walking round the town quite a lot we managed to pick up a book and a magazine.
The amateur artists of Montrichard were having a little end of season show. It was like the one in Todmorden.
