To Humphrey Head, near Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria

On Wednesday morning we went in the Motorhome to a CS in Allithwaite, near Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria. Above is the view from our van that afternoon - weather perfect; site very uneven and rather poor in facilities, especially the CDP, I thought.
The trip was to visit Humphrey Head for a wild flower walk on this outstanding limestone peninsular. The nearest view we had of it is below. We set off rather late in the afternoon and it was a long walk from the CS, Templand farm, to the Head. Chris's leg and/or foot are playing up and she was worried about the length of the walk. We decided not to proceed up the Head, but return on Friday morning in the van, park up and do the wild flower walk then. However the weather was so dreadful on overnight Friday and into the morning that we just decided to come home.
Wednesday evening light at Templand farm.
