Paper Work

This is an IET job it is much easier to do on a rainy day - like they all are this week. IET is part of the Calderdale Partnership for Adult Learning. In July (just when people go on holiday) there is a call for applications to bid for the Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Areas funding. This local government initiative has not been cut and its funding of £10,000 is secure. The bureaucracy is pretty overwhelming for those such as myself who haven't engaged with it as such. Hence we've decided to make our bid as part of Acorn Centre's own bid. The advantage of which is that they know what they're doing, can promote and recruit the 'right' learners and can administratively monitor attendance and tuition appropriately. Does this remind you of work Johnny? As Chris comments, "it is part of your skill-set, darling".

I've been trying to pull together outlines for a few courses, lesson plans, objectives, outcomes, and, not least, the dreaded budget. The appropriate people I need to talk with are a) on holiday; b) too busy; c) not interested. With what I can, there will be a proposal pulled together for Acorn's deadline of 10 August.
