This is just to show how untidy the garden is at the end of sumer. All going over soon.

What has worked, I think, is the replanting in the difficult middle reach of the boulder terracing. Anna had suggested Persicaria affinis and Crocosmia solfata. And see how delightful they are. That works very well now - the Sisyrinchium and Hemerocallis do too, but they have finished flowering.
