From Provins we headed to Paris. Well to Maisons Laffitte actually: a town with a campsite to the North West of Paris, from where we could catch the RER. We spent the rest of the day doing our washing and walking into the centre of Maisons Laffitte to look around and check out the railway station and train times.
A Braque that reminded me of the Friesz in Nancy
We spent the day there, stopping for lunch at the cafe ....
.. and returning to the galleries in the afternoon.
Outside it rained all day...
..and continued while we made our way to the station.
We intended to go straight back to the campsite but whilst waiting on the platform we heard an announcement that a serious accident (at Sartrouville) meant the trains on our line would terminate at La Defense. We took the train instead to the Arc de Triomphe and spent a short while walking up and down the Champs-Elysées before sheltering from the rain in a brasserie.
