Since we got back: 1 The new drain

 
We've now been back from France for over five weeks and I'm still trying to catch up.  At least I'm now up to post-holiday blogging.

 While we were away we had a drain fitted in front of the garage. The 'drive' slopes down to the garage and when rains heavily, which it has done a lot this year, the garage gets flooded.

The new drain was intended to take the water under the fence into the garden, where John planned to construct a soak-away.

Before this happened we made use of the new arrangement to drain the fresh water tank of the van after our trip.
