Paris 2

Our next day is Paris was bright and sunny and we mainly spent it walking around looking at the sights.
We started by walking to the Eiffel Tower

Which, in spite of a previous visit to Paris I hadn't seen.

There were enormous queues to make the ascent  so we didn't bother - maybe next time.

Some people thought it was a good place for some wedding photos.  This looked like a double wedding and the photographer here was apparently trying to get a view up, past the heads of the brides, grooms and page boy to the tower above.

We stopped here on the left bank for a coffee

 crossed the Seine, well partially..

 walked down to Notre Dame

 which also had enormous queues

and arrived at the Hotel de Ville

where politicians had been making themselves available to their public.  It was about 4.00 p.m. when we were here and everyone had gone home.   We did shortly after that.  It's hard work being a tourist.
