Looking after Esmé

On Thursday last week we picked Esmé from school and, as usual, she wanted to go to the 'butterfly park'. This is her name for Manor Heath Park in Halifax where there is an indoor 'tropical' environment with quails, terrapins, fish and butterflies. We managed to get there before the butterfly house shut and it was lovely and warm inside. Ez found a part of a butterfly wing which she wanted to keep.
Most of the time though was spent in the cold playground though and Ez is getting more adventurous now on the climbing ropes. This particular feature, along with a high slide, and a spinning, swinging tyre was outside of the confines of the main playground. It was made for much bigger children than Ez and the gaps between the ropes were rather large for her.
I did though have to ask her not to go any higher, as she was getting beyond my reach and there was no way I could have got up to help her if she had problems coming down, which she did.
