Dory's birthday was on Sunday, the day after Harriet's memorial service. Loads of family were there. We went to the beach and ate masses of cake. So that was good.
Here Dory is surrounded by family and friends as she opens a present. She very wisely paced-out this activity somewhat.
Then it was down to the beach at Ringstead Bay where the family often go: painting, kayaking, swimming, fishing and such. Today's fun activity was attempting stone skimming with round Dorset pebbles and dealing with dogs that wanted to play too. Blue was definitely the colour that Sunday.

Harriet painted this bay many times and I'm privileged to have one of those paintings.
This is the fab, gateaulistic birthday feast cake.
But there are still more presents to be unwrapped by Miss Deferred Gratification of 2015.
(A box of this size just has to become a den.)
At last the cake is approached, worshiped, cut up and eaten.
