Work at the Walsden Site

As many days as I can manage I am at the Walsden site helping Nick and other volunteers build the site. Today posts have been knocked into the north end trench and a more permanent fence is being put up round the new ponds.
Nick met a visitor from Slovenia this morning who is constructing an EU wide network of people in our type of outfit who will visit each other's sites across Europe to learn how to grow in a sustainable way for the community. He was impressed and wants this to work for us, especially as there are EU grants. And what's better the rules are intelligible by EU standards and the bureaucracy is more straightforward than CMBC - which is saying something.
Nick is working on his design plan for the permaculture initiation: five duck ponds, chicken run, and a pond for dogs!
