Teddy Bears' Picnic

Last Thursday, Esmé went to baby gym in Halifax for an hour of organised fun. On settling in her Church Walk residence she decided on a picnic for her teddies. They seemed very happy, well organised and behaved, although I wonder what they made of a large rat seemingly in charge. The rat has been named 'Rat-a-tat-tat'. The rat was bought by Chris at a bring and buy for the RNLI organised by a member of her art study group that meets in the Fielden Centre - which is by the way rather nicely suited for art and actually properly heated, unlike other places available for study in the upper Calder Valley.
Baby gym has finished for the Christmas holidays. We are looking after Esmé on Thursdays as well as Tuesdays at the moment because Ian Ferris, her top granddad has fallen off a ladder and needs to be looked after himself. Her other top granddad, 'Panda Pete', has just had a new hip, so I'm anxiously expecting something to do with limbs fairly soon.
