First Snow of Winter

It has been snowing over three days now and so it is quite deep here. I guess if I was twelve I'd think it was really great at Christmas time. However for drivers and outdoor workers it's no joke. Shopping in Todmorden is none too clever either. By now there's dirty slush everywhere. Though at Church Walk the snow is still rather pretty. Be nice if the sun shone - at least once.




We think it looks nice. On the exposed parts of the garden the snow comes up to Lily's chest.
One of the Golden King has splendid berries, much sought after by blackbirds and thrushes at the moment.
