The Low Road to Pitlochry

We set off on 20 June for Scotland staying overnight on loch Lomond, and the next morning, Thursday 21 June were going to meander up to Brin Herb Nursery. However the heavy continuous rain had set in, punctuated by light continuous rain, or continuous drizzle. So we did not try to visit loch Katrine and take a steamer trip on Glasgow's first fresh water source. We went staight to Pitlochry and this very organised commercial camp site at Milton of Fonab. The site was exceptionally well-drained and needed to be.

There was a brief respite in the rain during the afternoon so we visited the nearby town of Pitlochry. Full of quaint shops. We made several major purchases of clothing suitable for the Highlands to augment our array of sensible warm and/or waterproof garments. Quite frankly they didn't sell much else in Pitlochry.
