Camping with Esmé

Last weekend, (the one before we went to Tatton Park Show) we went camping with Esmé, just for one night to try it out. We didn't go far, just south of Hudderfield and north of Holmfirth, to Holme Valley Camping and Caravan Park. It was forecast to rain, and it did, but not all the time so we did get out to walk around the site a bit. Ez is good at imaginary play on her own and here she is scraping the muddy ground with a stick. That's what it looked like to us but to her a story of some sort was involved - I just can't remember what.
On this bridge over the river we played Pooh Sticks, or Stick Poo(h) as Ez prefers to call it. Strangely enough Esmé always seemed to win, or so she claimed. One stick looks very much like another to me so I didn't bother to challenge her.
A pretty good time was had by all. Here she give a hug to Granddad Johnny. (Chris)
