On the last few snow filled Sundays Lynne, John and I have done our default walk: about a mile along the canal and back, though with a bit of a loop through the fields so we're not retracing all out steps. Boxing day was no exception. On this occasion we were joined by Linda and Chris who stayed for coffee, cake and mince pies afterwards. The photo was taken when we stopped to look and sympathise with the ducks, who had only a small pool of unfrozen water just below the lock. I'm looking forward to the weather improving enough to venture uphill for a somewhat longer walk.
