It's back to the French holiday and after a morning in Rouen on 17 May we headed north and ever so slightly west or left as Chris would say to the wonderful Normandy coast - at Quiberville.
She walked out of the sea fully-formed and fully-clothed with ruck-sack and Frenchy striped top.
Great municipal site at Quiberville. Looked full of outfits, but actually many vacant pitches. Really good, but the hot water could have been hotter!
They take the Hulot props very seriously.
Fishing boats with black and red flags on the traps. Sea food was fab.
There's a nautical school at Quiberville and this weekend they were having a fete.
So there was much lounging and posing...
... and some surfing!
We thought the impressionists must have gone bananas when they saw the effect of light on clouds and sea along this coast, especially after the smog of Paris and all that absinthe!

What a pity we weren't over there. It's about 5 minutes from our house. We buy our fish there. Did you see the blockhouse that has fallen off the cliff and buried itself nose down on the beach?
Next time maybe.......

Thanks A - yes we did see a 'block', but did not realise its significance. We thought about you guys and wondered where your place was. It would have been nice to call.
