Our garden path, which had been created 5 years ago, was in a poor state and riddled with weeds. We also wanted to replace the grey granite grit, which I thought looked like tarmac, with something that would fit in better with the stone slabs
These first two photos show the path after most of the first layer had been removed by Roger and John on Monday. They dumped all the surplus material in the lane, to fill in the potholes, then Roger drove his truck back and forth to tamp it down.
Roger was available again on Friday so the new sandstone chippings were ordered to arrive then.
They started at the bottom
and worked their way up.
There wasn't quite enough so Roger went off to get some more
and they were able to finish the job.
Apart from the tamping down, that is. There is still some of that to do.
