Our last over night in Durham was at the certificated location of the Durham Amateur Rowing Club, Green Lanes - obviously on the bank of the Wear. Not a particularly pretty site and the walk into town is along a rather dreary lane past Durham University playing fields and some justice joint called a 'family reconciliation centre', so lots of unreconciled Fathers for Justice hanging about.
