The bannister rail and balustrade made by Paul Byrne have now been completed. The re-gluing and cramping of the laminated hand-rail parts of this installation were totally successful - well as of this evening! We love it and are trying out the effect on this beech of polyurethane varnish, acrylic wax varnish, and two kinds of finishing oil. Which will win? Vote off the worst finish now! (Calls may be charged at exorbitant rates and not even be included in the ballot.)
