As 2 September was a Tuesday the two museums we wanted to visit were of course closed, so we walked round the town's meaner quarters and found the lavoir - in working order, with a patron filling proprietary water bottles!
Then up a very steep hill we trudged for this very Normande view, light and all.
In the afternoon we visited the museum of things ethnic and the museum of things marine - no photographs. It was actually very interesting and nicely presented.
Chris sits outside the museum of marination and tries to catch up with the real world online.
But spares time to point out the display above and behind Chris of the most ridiculous garment I've ever seen. Actually on sale as a "painter's smock"! and for about 90 euros.
