Saturday 24 May Next Morning in Honfleur
It's modern, large and well set-out. However, its web site is not that good. It does not have good images of the art works on display. We wanted to see the pre-impressionist's work. We did, but cannot show you images of them here. In fact many of Boudin's studio-finished works are in the National Gallery (er, in London). There's limited space in the gallery so there are themed displays that change periodically. Some modern pictures were on display, a Othon Friesz for example showing the burning of a Le Havre petrochemical plant in 1940 - a version of which is held by Gulf Oil! Here are a couple of Boudin pictures off of the web which don't really do his work justice, but they are Honfleur, I think.
