Afternoon in Honfleur - Friday 23 May

When motorhoming we can sometimes just get on with it. Actually, Honfleur isn't that far from Deauville  so after pitching up in the 240 places aire de service et stationment with electric at 10 euros night we walked round the town.

 It's like a car park with charming old houses and stuff on the estuary of the Seine. It's opposite Le Harve, across a very wide estuary, thankfully.

This old building is the lieutenancy. I don't know what it's for but there is a sketch (photo below) of it by Turner in the Tate. Sky needs working up a bit. If you want some gen on this building go to France Monthly.

 Quaint streets with local shopping go on and on in all directions. And they're full of tourists, some of which arrived by camping cars.

 We found a little exclusive garden salon de thé.  Chris had crumble des fruites which is now on any chic menu.
