This is the poshest campsite at which we have ever stayed, I think. On the banks of the Odet river where it is still tidal, this campsite is in the parkland of a chateau of sorts. Below is the former HQ of the prisoner of war camp here during the second house and used by both sides as things went wrong for the Nazis at the end.
It's all very nice now. Lawns, exotic flowering shrubs and plenty of insects in the showers. Besides bird life I witnessed no other fauna.
The main trades of Lanniron are golf and weddings - also conferences and such like too. One wedding of the year was held on the Saturday. It went on until about 4 a.m. Goodness knows what they were finding to do, but we certainly all heard the 'music'.
There was a stream of complaints from campers. At the same time the electricity failed in one part of the campsite and the wifi was on and off for two days. For a 5 star campsite at 18 euros a night even with ACSI this was not good enough. But it was still camping in parkland and so quiet when the Danish thrash metal band had packed up.
