A Spring Day

 Yesterday the sun shone, the snow and ice melted slowly and there were the new shoots - in this case of a peony.
 One has to bend into the most awkward positions to see let alone photograph hellebores, but it's worthwhile.

 The crocus and anemone blanda are always cheerful.

 Our most adaptive self-seeded plant has to be the hellebore below which has grown in a tiny crack in the paving of the lower terrace right against the stump of the fallen cedar (Atlantis I think).
