Beck in Spate

Torrential rain over-night has turned our placid little stream into what one might call a force if this were the Lake District. Further correspondence from Anna has clarified a mistake I made in respect of re-planting this area of the garden. When she mentioned an 'umbrella plant' she was referring to darmera peltata. I am going to have to work out a suitable anchorage for it as one can tell from these photos.

A propos Anna's clarifications and corrections, I shall go back and edit the original blog of 20 October.
