On the third day we did think of visiting High Force, but the weather, and its forecast, were not favourable. So we went round the town, again, though this time visited the Bowes Museum.
First thing we found were these concrete pipe pieces with bits of veg in them.
It's part of a town project supported by the inmates of the YOI just below the our campsite. I think the idea is to help people who don't eat veg to see why they shouldn't.
Because this looks about as unhealthily unappetising as anything I've ever seen in horticulture.
This is the Bowes Museum which was built as a museum in the late 19th century. It displays a fine collection of French art.
Chris is studying the armillary sphere.
