We arrived at Winfrith Newburgh on Thursday 21 November and pitched up at the Red Lion pub, which is a CL. The weather is very fresh, cold and windy, but dry. It's rather cold. However the van heating is working very well.
There is one caravan and a couple on the site who work at the pub.
Really, this part of our trip is to see the new kitten Billy at the house of Dan & Harriet. He's a genuine rescue cat from the shed in their garden. His litter tray use is exemplary, unlike our Lily's.
Actually it's Dan's birthday on 22 November so there was masses of cake and the handing round of cards. Then the evening turned into the perfect Edwardian parlour soirée as three generations tried their skills on the flute.
Today 23 November Dorelia, Maeve and Harriet came round to the van for lunch before going to Stage Coach - the nationally franchised stage skills academy. They're doing very well at it and enjoy their Saturday afternoons their immensely.
Meave thought it would be fun to turn the van lights on and off, and open the lockers with her feet.
Whilst they were doing that, Danny took us round Poundbury.
We noted the eclectic architectural styles and pedestrian friendly layout of the roads and paths. With Poundbury's continuing expansion it is now contiguous with Dorchester's suburbs.
