On Tuesday 21 May we set off for London on the East Coast express from Leeds. We were going to stay at Linda's apartment in Bloomsbury, opposite Coram Fields. We were travelling first class with all that complementary food and drink one is offered. A very relaxing journey.
On the Wednedsay 22 May we took the 68 from Russell Sq. to Denmark Hill and saw an eye doctor and Ms Hollick. They were pleased with Chris's progress. All is going well with the graft, but healing is slow - even slower will be eyesight improvement, we were told.
We didn't really do anything else. Oddly there didn't seem to be any time. We did go out in the evening before dinner for a pint and were shown this beautifully restored art deco building on Herbrand St., behind Woburn Place - The McCann Building. It's an advertising agency.
