Didn't We Have A Lovely Time The Day We Went To Weymouth?

The plan was to visit the viewing area to watch the racing, swim in the sea, then find something to eat in Weymouth.

There's a good view of the screens from where we pitched-up, although as you can see there wasn't a great deal of enthusiasm for watching the racing. Later the BMX bike racing was shown on the left hand screen, which I thought was thrilling. Danny and the girls had already been swimming so might have been tired and maybe cold.  

Danny bought us all chips and they were really tasty. The town was very busy and heavily policed. Danny had a chat with a colleague who was having a great time - everyone seems to  be behaving themselves, which of course is not what Danny deals with back at the station.

We were lucky enough to see the town bridge raised for tall masted ships to pass.

You prolly thought I was exaggerating with my 'scores of deckers', but there were loads at the terminus as well as the P&R (and remember there was Mount Pleasant). Danny wondered what the legacy would be for the buses.  I said it was a sustainable heritage, 'they'll lease them to First Bus'.
