Apparently some of these 'half timbered' buildings in Bridgnorth are fakes with painted on black 'beams'. However here we have Bishop Percy's house as a genuine example, but why he needed a house in Bridgnorth when it hasn't a cathedral is something of a mystery. Perhaps it was an allowable second home under the Restoration Rules of Charles the Tooth.
