The next day we all went on a trip to Bradford for skating and more fun eating.
Danny who knows how to do it helped Ez learn the ropes.
Dory was pretty good at skating I thought.
The train trip was a comedy routine of its own. Now with the new timetable we cannot go to Bradford direct. One has to change at, say Hebden Bridge, definitely before Halifax, because trains stopping at Walsden are no longer direct to Halifax either. So it took much longer than we expected with really boring waits at Sowerby Bridge on the out trip and at Hebden on the return.
The railway planners are doubtless over-joyed by this new timetable after 174 years of sensible running. On frequently used A to B routes, it will be quicker and the pressure on train capacity will be reduced. Hence our through trains Walsden-Leeds have a faster times and are slightly less over-crowded. However Walsden-Halifax, and Walsden-Bradford are slower.
At Hebden Bridge trying to look happy.
