Another reason for visiting Bleasdale was to see my old mate Dave who lives near there. He was a first year student at Lancaster the year I started along with our social administration degree, as it then was. These days he studies genealogy or ancestry. He looked into our forebears and one day I might blog about them. First I need a scanner.

We went for fish and chips in Great Eccleston and then back to Bleasedale to visit the stone circle.

Very ancient and prolly in line with some natural event such as a solstice. Below a present-day Celt who feels rather cold, wet and grumpy after struggling through that Natural England stile.

A mysterious place indeed and apparently the only Bronze Age circle in Lancashire.
