Surrounded by admiring friends and his loving wife Maggie, Suffolk's top hospital patient, Alan Cohen, attempts to smile for the cameras as he recovers somewhat what from his recent incapacity.
On our return to England we drove to Suffolk to see our friends Alan and Maggie Cohen who live in Pakenham. We knew they had just returned from a touring holiday in France, but learnt from Maggie that Alan had been quite ill and on his return went into hospital. We visited him on Monday after he'd had three units of blood. He was cheerful, talkative and jolly good fun, I thought.
