Kathy & David Visit Us

... In the meantime, Potzo developed a very swollen tail and other symptoms not conducive to being a happy cat. He went to the vet last Friday and had a long-term antibacterial injection and an anti-inflammatory injection. An abscess had been indentified, which was on the site of a deep bite (no doubt by his sister). By Monday's visit the abscess had burst (in the surgery of course - plenty of blood) and he was admitted for cleaning-up and more treatment. I picked him up at 4 pm whilst the girls were helping the Manchester retail clothing trade exit the recession and he soon came round from his wooziliness. One of the first signs of his recovery was to bring a dead rat and plonk it at Christine's feet at around midnight.
On his Friday visit to the vet he jumped out of his basket for a full medical and staple removal (he'd already removed one himself). The vet discharged him and he jumped back into the basket. I'm not exaggerating about this basket-jumping routine.
