In France Again

This week we've been in France. Kathy and David were here too for a couple of days. We met up in Montreuil for two reasons. First of all to have our own celebration of Kathy's 70th birthday. We did this in some style by staying at Coq Hôtel for two nights and by dining at Château Montreuil on the last evening. It was a once-in-a-lifetime gastronomic experience - well for me anyway.

Secondly, the IEC Wine Society's depôt in the city will close in December. This is a great shame, so we wanted to just go for the last time, buy some wines and say good-by. Though positively the newly re-furbished aire needed to be visited too.

We bought our wine and then enjoyed a bottle over lunch on the city's ramparts.
