Cheverny

After the dressing change at hospital in Romorantin on Friday we drove to Cheverny. I went there on my own in 2005 when we were staying in Montrichard. Chris thought it a nice idea to visit especially as it is so close to our campsite. She needs to get out and gain confidence. I think this will show how well she is doing. And Cheverny is very pretty - beautifully kept parkland and gardens.

If it reminds you of the adventures of Tintin, you're right. Some adventure or other was set here. So the shop has a whole Tintin section.

Tastefully decorated in an Empire style with lovely things.

And lots of locked doors with this figuring as standard.

Nice lamp shade.

Then off to the orangery for afternoon tea.
