Chester

It's a more than a week ago we went on an overnight Britstop to Northwich. We pitched up at the Winnington Lodge, eating and drinking well for less than £20.

After shopping our way round Northwich on the first afternoon and buying all kinds of cooking things and a book introducing the Great War, next morning we set off for Chester. We parked in the P&R for free entry to the stunningly expensive commercial heart of this ancient county town. Town very nice. Weather awful. Then came home.

 Chris hasn't seen double-decker English shopping like this, even in Bermondsey.
