Assorted Christmas Stuff

This is the Delia Christmas cake that John made first, before the Victorian (Mary Berry) one that he as  already blogged and eaten.

This is it when decorated.  It is now three quarters eaten.

I went with Gaby to Esmé's school play.  She is somewhere on the left being a narrator.

We were involved in a bit of a rural traffic jam last weekend as we went up to collect our turkey from Staup's Farm at the same time as everyone else.

Once there we did manage to find a good parking spot right next to the new barn / house. That's Nick's wagon next to us with Nick and Helena walking past.

Inside there were various other local products for sale We bought sweets, biscuits, cider, beer and parsnips, as well as the turkey, sausages and bacon.

Christmas Day John and I spent fairly quietly on our own, but on Boxing Day we were joined by Christian, Sarah and Gaby ...

as well as Esmé, Ebony and Sophie-Anna.

The belief that children end up playing more with the box does have some basis in fact.
