The Walsden site has now been officially opened by the Mayor of Todmorden, councillor White, as the Market Garden Training Centre. Today we had visits from BBC TV Yorkshire to make a programme showing year 9 girls from Todmorden High School learning what the centre can do to teach and train them in horticulture and animal welfare (see above for how easy that part is).
They were I thought a very articulate group with some pretty clear ideas about their career trajectories.
