Mont Saint Michel, Brittany/Normandy

After driving hundreds of kilometres and paying many euros in tolls and stopping over on doubtful campsites, I realised that if one wants a holiday in Normandy/Brittany it would be a good idea to take a ferry which went there - and dock in Ouistram or St Malo.
This was Chris's first visit to Mont St Michel. There is a kind of serviceless aire for camping cars. Should we return we vowed to stay overnight and miss the crowds of the late afternoon.
It's a kind of factory. The raw product ('tourist') arrives and, after parking up (obligatoire), one walks to to the Mont for cultural processing.

The processing occurs within the above quasi-religious buildings. The effect on subjects can be seen below.
Did I mention that the tat is the dearest in any Euro-culture processing plant?

Perhaps you should try St Michael's Mount in Cornwall next. There's definitely a lot less tat and none of this organisation.
