Anne and Christine say good-bye just before we have the farewell photoshoot, and board the coach for Dunkerque and home.
Before Dunkerque we just called at Malo-les-Bains for a last look at an embarkation beach with splendid municipal lavatories and viewing platform.
This is the view to industrial Dunkerque ...
Malo is a 19th century seaside town, full of
fin de siècle architectural charm which largely escaped war-time damage.
We rather liked
La Poste's message on this delivery van (sorry I really should draw the line at French having a singular possessive apostrophe 's').

We used to go to Malo-les-Bains quite a lot on shopping trips. Good restaurants and a real contrast to Dukirk
