This evening I was invited to attend a buffet in the Mayor of Todmorden's parlour to celebrate the success of IET Ltd Food Hub finally securing, legally, the building of a half million pound Big Lottery funded aquaponics unit. It will be at Todmorden High School and will provide an opportunity for pupils to study and learn how to actually do fish farming. This is IET's largest project.
The Mayor's parlour has the usual regalia recalling the proud history of Todmorden and of course the Fielden family.
The Mayor had, personally, prepared the buffet from local produce - pies, salads, cheeses, chicken and beef.
